Pat Rich earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009. After graduating, he returned to his home state of Minnesota, where he spent a year teaching junior high band in Virginia, MN. After one year, the position at Badger Ridge Middle School opened, and Mr. Rich decided to return to the band room where he student taught.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Rich has performed in many ensembles. During college he was a member of the UW Wind Ensemble, UW Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, and the student led Bigfoot Brass Quintet. During the summers of 2006-2008, Mr. Rich was a member of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps, a World Class drum corps of Drum Corps International. Currently, Mr. Rich is a member of the Madison Municipal Band, and serves on the board of directors for the Verona Area Concert Band. His main instruments are Euphonium and Trombone.
